## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 08, 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 1400 HOURS, THE PILOT TOOK OFF WITH FOUR PARACHUTE JUMPERS FROM THE CARTER MEMORIAL AIRPORT (T91) IN LULING, TX. AT 200 FEET AGL, THE PASSENGERS IN THE BACK OF THE AIRCRAFT OBSERVED FUEL STREAMING FROM THE TOP OF THE LEFT WING AND ATTEMPTED TO INFORM THE PILOT. DUE TO ENGINE NOISE, THE PILOT DID NOT HEAR THEIR MESSAGE CLEARLY BUT DID OBSERVE A GASEOUS SUBSTANCE BLOWING OFF THE LEFT WING. THE PILOT ASSUMED IT WAS SMOKE AND CHOSE TO EXECUTE AN OFF-AIRPORT EMERGENCY LANDING IN A GRASS FIELD APPROXIMATELY ONE-HALF MILE FROM THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY 17.
