## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 6TH 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 1608 PDT, THE PILOT OF N222JB, A BEECHCRAFT A36 BONANZA, DEPARTED HAWTHORNE AIRPORT (HHR) ENROUTE TO SAN JOSE AIRPORT (SJC). THE PILOT STATED THAT AT APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES FROM SJC HE HAD A TOTAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE AND PROCEEDED TO SJC USING A HANDHELD RADIO. AT AROUND 15 MILES OUT, THE PILOT USED THE EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR AND ASKED THE TOWER TO DO A FLY BY TO SEE IF THE GEAR WAS DOWN. THE TOWER TOLD THE PILOT THE GEAR LOOKED DOWN SO HE CONTINUED TO LAND ON THE TWO MAINS AND A FEW SECONDS AFTER THE NOSE TOUCHED DOWN THE PLANE STARTED TO WOBBLE AND THE RIGHT MAIN AND NOSE COLLAPSED AT THE SAME TIME. AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED TO LOCAL FBO.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
