## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS PRACTICING TAKE OFF/LANDINGS. THE PILOT TOOK OFF WITH A SLIGHT TAIL WIND PILOT FAILED TO NOTICE THE WIND HAD SHIFTED AROUND TO A SLIGHT QUARTERING TAILWIND. THE PILOT TOUCHED DOWN, VEERED RIGHT, APPLIED LEFT BRAKE AND LEFT RUDDER. RIGHT MOVEMENT OF THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED. THE PILOT APPLIED POWER AND ONCE THE ENGINE RESPONDED THE FULL LEFT RUDDER DEFLECTION AND APPLICATION OF LEFT BRAKE TOOK OVER AND THE AIRCRAFT IMMEDIATELY SWERVED TO THE LEFT. THE AIRCRAFT CAREENED UP ON THE RIGHT WHEEL CAUSING WHEEL AXLE TO BREAK WITH THE SIDE OVER LOAD APPLIED, THE RIGHT GEAR LEG DUG INTO THE RUNWAY AND CAUSED THE RIGHT GEAR TO COLLAPSE. WHEN THE GEAR COLLAPSED, IT CAUSED THE RIGHT WING STRUT ATTACHING POINT AT THE FUSELAGE TO FAIL. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE WITH THE RIGHT WING BENT UPWARD AT A 90-DEGREE ANGLE TO THE FUSELAGE. THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRCRAFT UNHARMED. ONE WITNESS AT TH4E SCENE CAME FORWARD TO ASSIST.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
