## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 13, 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 0930 CST, A HOME BUILT KITFOX SUPERSPORT, AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION NUMBER N765DP, EXPERIENCED NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSE DURING LANDING ROLLOUT. THE PILOT REPORTED THE AIRPORT TRAFFIC PATTERN WAS BUSY SO HE FLEW A TIGHT PATTERN AND HIS APPROACH WAS HIGHER AND FASTER THAN NORMAL. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND BOUNCED CAUSING THE NOSS LANDING GEAR TO COLLAPSE. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME. AIRCRAFT DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE ENGINE COWLING, PROPELLER AND NOSE LANDING GEAR. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED AND THERE WAS NO POST CRASH FIRE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
