## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS ENROUTE FROM SKYVIEW AIRPORT (WY05) TO KCYS AIRPORT. ENGINE LOST POWER DURING DESCENT FOR LANDING

SEVERAL ATTEMPS TO RESTART FAILED. LANDED APPROIMATELY 300-500 FEET SHORT OF RWY 27. PILOT EXECUTED A RIGHT TURN JUST PRIOR TO TOUCH DOWN TO AVOID VEHICLE TRAFFIC ON A BUSY STREET. RIGHT WING AND RIGHT LANDING GEAR ENGAGED A BARB WIRE FENCE WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO SPIN 180 DEGREES, SLIDING APPROXIMATLY 300 FEET BEFORE IT CAME TO REST PARRALEL TO THE ROADWAY. ENGAGING THE BARB WIRE AND THE IMPACT SEVERED THE WING JUST OUTBOARD OF THE LANDING GEAR. NO INJURIES. WITNESSES REPORTED THAT THE PROPELLER WAS OBSERVED NOT TURNING PRIOR TO IMPACT. FIRST RESPONDERS REPORTED NO EVIDENCE OF FUEL WHEN THEY ARRIVED ON SCENE.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
