## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N2762P STRUCK POWER LINES WHILE DOING ORCHARD WORK. THE PILOT OF THE HELICOPTER STATES SHE PERFORMED PREVIOUS FLIGHTS IN THE ORCHARD AND WAS AWARE OF THE POWER LINE OBSTACLE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF A HILL WHERE SHE WAS DRYING CHERRIES. THE PILOT FORGOT THE POWER LINE WAS PRESENT. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE POWER LINE AS THE AIRCRAFT WAS SLOWLY CLIMBING OVER THE HILL, TOWARDS THE POWER LINE. THE MAIN ROTOR OF THE HELICOPTER STRUCK THE POWER LINE CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO SETTLE TO THE GROUND FROM APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET AGL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA18CA352](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA18CA352), Jun 17, 2018: Bell 206 (N2762P), Orondo, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain clearance from power lines while maneuvering at low altitude.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System.
