ON JUNE 23, 2018, N2231T DEPARTED MILLINOCKET SEAPLANE BASE (70B), MAINE AFTER FUELING WITH 15 GALLONS OF FUEL, TO DARMARISCOTTA LAKE, JEFFERSON, MAINE. AT APPROXIMATELY 1830 LOCAL TIME, N2231T LOST ENGINE POWER. THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) TURNED THE ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN FUEL PUMP ON AND RESTORED SOME ENGINE POWER, ONLY MOMENTARILY. THE ENGINE SUBSEQUENTLY STOPPED PRODUCING POWER. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN IN A CONTROLLED MANNER ON THE SWAP AND DECELERATED SMOOTHLY UNTIL A METAL STRINGER THAT WAS RUNNING BETWEEN THE FLOATS CAUGHT ON DEBRIS IN THE SWAMP. THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPING OVER, COMING TO REST ON ITS BACK. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PIC AND ONE PASSENGER WERE ABLE TO EXIT THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
