## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT USED A CHECKLIST TO SET UP FOR HIS LANDING DURING DOWNWIND, BASE AND FINAL. ON EACH LEG HE VERIFIED HIS GEAR WAS DOWN WITH THE GREEN LIGHT ASSOCIATED WITH THE GEAR BEING DOWN. THIS LIGHT IS CONNECTED TO THE POSITION OF THE JOHNSON BAR OR GEAR LEVER. AS HE ROUNDED OUT AND FLARED HE HEARD WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS THE STALL WARNING HORN AND TOUCHED DOWN WITH IT ON. AS SOON AS THE MAINS TOUCHED THE RUNWAY THE GEAR BEGAN TO COLLAPSE AND THE JOHNSON BAR POPPED OUT OF THE SOCKET SIMULTANEOUSLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
