## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS EXECUTING A VFR LANDING AND BOUNCED ON THE MAIN LANDING GEAR. ONCE AIRBORNE AGAIN, HE ATTEMPTED A GO-AROUND MANEUVER. PILOT STATED THE ENGINE WOULD NOT MAKE FULL POWER AND IT WAS SLOWING DOWN. PILOT STATED HE RAISED THE LANDING GEAR TO REDUCE DRAG, BUT THE PLANE CONTINUED TO SLOW. HE RAISED THE FLAPS FROM FULL TO APPROACH, BUT IT CONTINUED TO SLOW. SO HE RAISED THE FLAPS COMPLETELY, AND THE AIRPLANE STALLED ONTO THE RUNWAY.

THE AIRPLANE SLID TO A STOP ON ITS BELLY AFTER GOING THRU THE DEPARTURE END RUNWAY LIGHTS. A SMALL GRASS FIRE STARTED WHICH THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN18LA257](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN18LA257), Jul 3, 2018: Piper PA46 (N689KC), Springhill, LA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s exceedance of the airplane's critical angle of attack during an improper go-around procedure which resulted in an aerodynamic stall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
