## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

7/06/2018, AIRCRAFT DEPARTED AUSTIN-BERGSTROM (AUS). PILOT WAS GIVING INSTRUCTIONAL LESSONS TO STUDENT PILOT. AFTER 1.5 HOURS, THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED ENGINE FAILURE DURING THEIR RETURN. WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS INBOUND TO RWY 35 AT 1000 FEET AGL, THE PIC DECLARED EMERGENCY AND PREFORMED AN OFF FIELD LANDING 1.5 MILES SOUTH EAST OF (AUS) RWY 35. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
