## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT WAS ATTEMPTING HER FIRST SOLO CROSS COUNTRY TO MEADVILLE (KGKJ) AIRPORT. ON THE LANDING AT BEAVER COUNTY (KBVI) AIRPORT, STUDENT APPEARED TO BE AT A LOW APPROACH ANGLE AND SHOWED 3 BOUNCES BEFORE GOING AROUND. SECOND ATTEMPT SHOWED THE APPROACH TO BE SIMILAR TO THE FIRST WITH 3 BOUNCES BUT DID MANAGE TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THEN TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT FROM TAXIWAY C TO THE MAIN RAMP AND AFTER SHUTDOWN, IT WAS NOTED THAT DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER WAS OBSERVED AS WELL AS DAMAGE TO THE FRONT STRUT OF THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA18CA498](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA18CA498), Jul 8, 2018: Cessna 172 (N984BT), Beaver Falls, PA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's improper landing flare, which resulted in a bounced landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
