## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 10, 2018 AT 06:55 AM (MST) A CESSNA 525 REGISTERED TO CP HOLDINGS INC WAS LANDING DURING A PRIVATE FLIGHT WITH CLEAR WEATHER CONDITIONS PREVAILING, AND AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE, AND THE 2 CREW MEMBERS AND 2 PASSENGERS ON BOARD WERE UNINJURED. THE PILOT HOLDS AN ATP CERTIFICATE. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT KEARNEY, NE ON JULY 10, 2018 AT 05:55 AM (MST).

IT APPEARS THAT THE BRAKE SYSTEM RETAINED A SLIGHT PRESSURE IN THE BRAKES, THIS PRESSURE ON THE TAKEOFF ROLL GENERATED ENOUGH FRICTION AND HEAT THAT WHEN THE LANDING GEAR WAS RETRACTED THE RESIDUAL HEAT COULD HAVE "WELDED" THE BRAKES LOCKED. UPON LANDING THE RIGHT MAIN BRAKE BROKE FREE, BUT THE LEFT REMAINED LOCKED, THIS CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO SKID TO THE LEFT UNCONTROLLABLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
