## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON A TRAINING FLIGHT, CFI ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS TRAINING STUDENT IN NORMAL APPROACH AND LANDING. ON LANDING ROLL-OUT, STUDENT OVER CORRECTED FOR WINDS AND AIRCRAFT DEPARTED PAVED SURFACE INTO GRASS AND STRUCK RUNWAY LIGHT DAMAGING BOTH THE LIGHT AND THE AIRCRAFT (MINOR DAMAGE). THE UNTIMELY RESPONSE FROM CFI TO CORRECT SITUATION ADDED TO THE INCIDENT.

NO SPECIFIC REGULATORY NON-COMPLIANCE HAD OCCURRED. AIRMAN COUNSELING WAS PROVIDED AND PART 141 CFI CURRICULUM WILL BE REVISED. RETRAINING OF BOTH STUDENT AND CFI BY CERTIFICATE HOLDER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
