## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS PERFORMING AERIAL APPLICATION "DOING CLEAN-UP WORK". HE STATED THAT HE THOUGHT THE WIRES WERE BEHIND HIM AND HE SAW THEM AT THE LAST MINUTE. THE COWLED MAIN ROTOR MAST CONTACTED POWER LINES DAMAGING THE COWLING AND AT LEAST 2 OF THE 3 MAIN ROTOR PITCH CHANGE LINKS. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE HELICOPTER WAS CONTROLABLE AND THAT HE EXECUTED A CONTROLED LANDING IN AN AREA BETWEEN TWO CORN FIELDS AND SHUT DOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
