## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 26, 2018, PILOT FILED (IFR) FLIGHT PLAN AND DEPARTED THE HUNTSVILLE EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (KMDQ), ENROUTE TO JACK EDWARDS NATIONAL AIRPORT (KJKA) WHERE HE SWITCHED TO (VFR). PILOT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON RUNWAY (27), AT (KJKA), HE LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR BUT FAILED TO GET GREEN LIGHTS. PILOT STATED THAT HE FELT THE DRAG OF THE LANDING GEAR GOING DOWN BUT NO ILLUMINATION OF LIGHTS . PILOT MANUALLY DEPLOYED GEAR, LIGHTS STILL DID NOT ILLUMINATE. PILOT STATED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO LAND AIRCRAFT WITH GEAR DOWN, AIRCRAFT ROLLOUT FOR APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET THEN, AFTERWARDS LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. NO INJURIES REPORTED BUT DAMAGE TO LANDING GEAR, PROPELLER AND FUSELAGE. ADDITIONAL DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY RECOVERY OF AIRPLANE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
