## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS EVENT WAS INVESTIGATED AS AN INCIDENT AS A RESULT OF THE AIRCRAFT HAVING ALLEGEDLY HIT THE RUNWAY EDGE LIGHTS WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND IN RUNWAY 17R AT THE HENDERSON AIRPORT ON 07/28/2018. IF THE AIRCRAFT DID GO OFF THE RUNWAY WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND, IT COULD BE CONSIDERED AN POSSIBLE RUNWAY EXCURSION AND AS SUCH IT WOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS AN INCIDENT AS NOTED IN THE 8900.1, V7, C1, S2, PARA. 7-33(B). THE FAA FORM 8020-9 PROVIDED BY ATC STATES THE AIRCRAFT HIT THE RUNWAY EDGE LIGHTS HOWEVER THE PILOT OF THE AIRCRAFT ADAMANTLY DENIES HITTING THE LIGHTS AS PROVIDED IN A DETAILED E-MAIL DATED AUGUST 23, 2018. PICTURES OF THE AIRCRAFT?S LEFT MAIN TIRE PROVIDED BY THE HENDERSON AIRPORT SHOW WHAT APPEARS TO BE SCUFF MARKS BUT NO ACTUAL DAMAGE TO THE TIRE CAN BE CONFIRMED. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE HENDERSON AIRPORT BEFORE INSPECTORS FROM THIS OFFICE WERE ABLE TO LOOK AT THE TIRE AND AIRCRAFT IN AN EFFORT TO TRY AND VALIDATE THE INFORMATION ON THE 8020-9.
