## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INITIAL PRELIMINARY REPORT WAS INCORRECT REPORTING THAT POWERED PARACHUTE AIRCRAFT (PPC) N2630F WAS TAXING ON THE HUMBOLDT, TN AIRPORT RAMP WHEN THE EVENT ORIGINATED. POST ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT STUDENT PILOT RAYMOND GUNN OPERATED POWERED PARACHUTE AIRCRAFT 2630F ON A PUBLIC HIGHWAY AS MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION FROM HIS HOME OF RESIDENCE TO THE HUMBOLDT AIRPORT. AS THE PILOT DEPARTED THE HUMBOLDT AIRPORT PARKING LOT ONTO THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY TO RETURN TO HIS HOME OF RESIDENCE, HE MISMANAGED THE FUEL CONTROLS AND STEERED THE AIRCRAFT ACROSS HWY 45E INTO THE GRASSY AREA THAT RUNS PARALLEL. THE PILOT REPORTED MINOR INJURIES. PPC AIRCRAFT N2630F RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRFRAME AND PROPELLERS. EVENT CLASSIFIED AS AN INCIDENT. HUMBOLDT FIRE DEPARTMENT REMOVED AIRCRAFT FROM CRASH SITE AS REQUIRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
