## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 08/19/2018 AT 0653 CST (CENTRAL STANDARD TIME), A UNITED AIRLINES (UAL) AIRBUS A319 AIRCRAFT (N836UA) DEPARTED EASTERN IOWA AIRPORT (CID) ON RUNWAY 27 AND STRUCK A SMALL BIRD ON THE RIGHT WING.

AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO CHICAGO O'HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ORD).

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AIRCRAFT AND DID NOT IDENTIFY ANY DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
