## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER TAKEOFF AT 300 FEET ALTITUDE THE ENGINE LOST POWER. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO RECOVER BY STARTING ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP BUT ENGINE WOULD NOT REGAIN POWER. AIRCRAFT DESCENDED STRING THE TOP OF A BUILIDNG AND THEN INTO A STAND OF TREES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN18LA340](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN18LA340), Aug 20, 2018: Beech B36TC (N6860W), LaPorte, TX, destroyed. Probable cause: The loss of engine power due to a torn intercooler hose that resulted in an overly rich fuel mixture, which, when combined with the pilot's activation of the auxiliary fuel pump, flooded the engine.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
