## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED AFTER TAKE OFF HE SMELLED AND WAS SPRAYED WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AND NOTICED HYDRAULIC PRESSURE WAS DOWN TO 900LBS. HE MADE A WIDE TRAFFIC PATTERN AND ATTEMPTED TO LOWER THE FLAPS WITHOUT SUCCESS. THE PILOT STATED HE LANDED FAST AND WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE RUNWAY. DURING TAXI THE BRAKES FAILED AND THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED A DRAINAGE DITCH THEN THE PILOT SHUT OFF THE TWO MAGNETOS THEN THE TWO LOWER PROPELLER BLADES CONTACTED THE EMBANKMENT CAUSING A SLIGHT REWARDS DEFLECTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
