## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER LANDING ON RUNWAY 18, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED LEFT DEPARTING THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE LANDING TOUCHDOWN WAS NORMAL, BUT THEN A GUST OF WIND CHANGED THE ALIGNMENT OF THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT GROUND LOOPED TO THE LEFT AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

- [NTSB GAA18CA524](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA18CA524), Aug 28, 2018: Luscombe 8 (N1211B), Fulton, MO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during landing in gusting crosswind conditions.

## Other reports on N1211B (1)

- [Incident 19790510026049I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19790510026049I), May 10, 1979: Luscom 8A (N1211B), Lancaster, CA, Minor damage. Student lost directional control and ground looped.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
