## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 01SEP2018 A STEARMAN AIRCRAFT, N27WE, LANDED ON RUNWAY 4, AT CJR (CULPEPER REGIONAL AIRPORT), GROUND LOOPED UPON LANDING, STRUCK AND DRAGGED THE BOTTOM RIGHT WING ALONG THE GROUND AND CAME TO A STOP ON THE TAXIWAY INTERSECTION. THE RUNWAY WAS NOT OBSTRUCTED. DURING THE OCCURRENCE THE RIGHT WING AND AILERON WERE DAMAGED. THE RIGHT WING SUFFERED DAMAGE TO THE AFT WING SPAR, WHICH MANIFESTED ITSELF THROUGH A HAIRLINE CRACK, FOR WHICH A MAJOR REPAIR (FORM 337), OR REPLACEMENT WOULD BE REQUIRED. THIS OFFICE ACQUIRED, AND INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT RECORDS AND FOUND THE AIRCRAFT TO BE AIRWORTHY PRIOR TO THE GROUND LOOP EVENT.

STATEMENTS WERE COLLECTED FROM ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE AIRCRAFT OWNER, AND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE PILOT OPERATING THE AIRCRAFT AT THE TIME OF THE OCCURRENCE. BOTH STATEMENTS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT UPON LANDING AND GROUND LOOPED THE AIRCRAFT.
