## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS DAY VFR FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT IUA WITH A DESTINATION OF GVQ. THE AIRCRAFT WAS OCCUPIED BY THE PILOT ONLY. WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH TO RUNWAY 10 AT GVQ THE POWER WAS REDUCED TO IDLE AND THE LANDING GEAR WARNING HORN SOUNDED. AT THAT TIME THE PILOT STATED THAT HE ADVANCED THE THROTTLES AND PERFORMED A GO-AROUND PROCEDURE. WHILE STAYING IN THE LOCAL TRAFFIC PATTERN HE THOUGHT HE CONFIGURED THE AIRCRAFT FOR LANDING AGAIN. WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH AGAIN WHEN THE POWER WAS REDUCED TO IDLE THE LANDING GEAR WARNING HORN SOUNDED. THIS TIME THE AIRCRFT SETTLED ONTO THE RUNWAY AND SLID TO A STOP. THE AIRCRAFT POWER WAS TUNRED OFF AND THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
