## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT AND PASSENGER DEPARTED BETHEL, AK AT APPROXIMATELY 17:10 AND ARRIVED AT ST. MARY?S, AK (KSM) AT 18:30. AIRCRAFT FUEL WAS TOPPED-OFF AND THEN DEPARTED KSM AT 18:50 TO RECONNOITER A LANDING AREA IN THE YUKON DELTA NWR THAT THE PIC HAD LANDED AT 2 WEEKS EARLIER. PIC FOUND THE LANDING AREA AND COMPLETED TWO LOW-SPEED, LOW-LEVEL PASSES TO SURVEY THE LANDING ZONE. PIC STATED THAT NO OBSTRUCTIONS WERE NOTED AND WINDS WERE LIGHT. APPROACH WAS AT 240 DEGREES HEADING, FULL FLAPS, 38-40 MPH AIRSPEED AND ENGINE AT 500 RPM. PIC STATED THAT AFTER TOUCH DOWN, THE GROUND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO START ROCKING LATERALLY APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET INTO THE ROLL-OUT. PIC STATED THAT THE RIGHT WING CONTACTED THE GROUND THEN THE LEFT WING STRUCK. AIRCRAFT GROUND-LOOPED TO THE LEFT, TAIL CAME UP AND THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND. AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST UPRIGHT. ESTIMATED DISTANCE FROM POINT OF TOUCH-DOWN TO STOP WAS 60 FEET. RIGHT WING TIP WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. LEFT WING WAS DEFLECTED UP FROM NEAR THE STRUT ATTACH-POINT. THE PLEXI-GLASS CEILING ABOVE THE COCKPIT WAS DESTROYED. PILOT NOTED THAT THE FUEL TANKS WERE HALF-FULL. NO FUEL LEAKS EVIDENT. PIC REPORTED THE ACCIDENT TO NTSB ON 09/24/2018 UPON RETURN TO ST. MARY?S.
