## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 09/26/2018, N3532U, A CESSNA 206, EXPERIENCED JET BLAST FROM AN AIRCRAFT TAXIING INTO POSITION ON RUNWAY 26 WHILE WAITING IN RUNUP AREA.

THE PILOT'S STATEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: "I WAS TAXING TO RWY 29 ON TAXIWAY A, HAD COMPLETED MY RUN-UP AND CALLED TO TOWER AS READY AT RWY 29. SOUTHWEST FLIGHT 3707 CAME TAXING UP ON TAXIWAY A AND CALLED TOWER. TOWER TOLD SW 3707 TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 29 AND THEN CLEARED IT FOR TAKEOFF AND TOLD ME I WOULD BE SECOND TO GO SHORTLY THEREAFTER. SW 3707 THEN INCREASED ITS THRUST AND THE RESULTING BLAST CAUGHT MY RIGHT WING AND TIPPED N3532U OVER ONTO ITS LEFT WING TIP AND THE PROPELLER INTO THE TARMAC. AS SW3707 LINED UP ON RWY AND TOOK OFF, MY PLANE RIGHTED ITSELF. ENGINE WAS, OF COURSE, NOW STOPPED AND PROP WAS BENT. TIP TANK BROKEN AWAY FROM WING TIP. I THEN TOOK PICTURES, CALLED TOWER TO EXPLAIN I NEEDED A TOW, ETC."

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
