## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT LANDED AT ANOTHER AIRPORT TO WAIT OUT A TFR. PILOT RETURNED TO AIRCRAFT 30 MINUTES LATER AND DID NOT DO A THROUGH PREFLIGHT. PILOT LEFT THE TOW BAR ON THE FRONT NOSE WHEEL. WHEN HE WENT TO LOWER THE GEAR, THE FRONT NOSE WHEEL WOULD NOT COME DOWN, AS THE TOW BAR WAS STUCK UP IN THE WHEEL WELL. PILOT HAD TO MAKE A LANDING WITH NO NOSE GEAR. PILOT LANDED SAFELY WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
