## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT GOLD HILL AIRPORT (NC25) WITH THE PILOT AND ONE PASSENGER. PILOT FLEW THE AIRCRAFT TO STANLY COUNTY AIRPORT (VUJ) AND WAS PERFORMING TOUCH AND GOES. AFTER PERFORMING SEVERAL TOUCH AND GO EVOLUTIONS, THE PILOT WAS DEMONSTRATING A SIMULATED EMERGENCY FOR HIS FRIEND. PILOT STATES THAT DURING THE APPROACH TO THE AIRPORT, HE WAS SO FIXATED ON THE RUNWAY, THAT HE SIMPLY FORGOT TO PUT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY LANDED IN A GEAR UP CONFIGURATION. GROUND SCARS SHOW THAT THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON THE CENTERLINE OF RUNWAY 22L, GRADUALLY DRIFTING RIGHT OF CENTERLINE AND COMING TO REST IN A FULL UPRIGHT POSITION.

NOTE: COUNSELING HAS BEEN RECOMENDED AS THE PILOT HAS HAD NO PREVIOUS ISSUES, WAS FORTHCOMING AND HONEST AS TO THE DETAILS OF THE EVENT AND HAS NUMEROUS HOURS IN THIS MODEL OF AIRCRAFT. SEE PTRS 201804641 FOR DETAILS.
