## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 07, 2018, AT 1720 EST A 2009 CESSNA, MODEL T182T, N5271F THAT IS REGISTERED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, RAN OUT OF FUEL JUST PRIOR TO FINAL LANDING AND LOST POWER. THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT ON A HIGHWAY MEDIAN IN WILLISTON, FL. THE PILOT?S FINAL DESTINATION WAS WILLISTON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND A VFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS NOT FILED. THE PILOT STATED THE ENGINE STOPPED MAKING POWER AND HE ELECTED TO LAND ON THE MEDIUM OF THE HIGHWAY. THE PILOT HAD AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT DAMAGED AND THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURIED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
