## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT N31LY DEPARTED DELAWARE OHIO (KDLZ) WITH A GROUP OF OTHER AIRCRAFT AT 1030 ON 10-7-2018 ENROUTE TO KMIE. BEFORE REACHING KMIE THE DECISION WAS MADE TO REROUTE TO URBANA GRIMES (I74). UPON LOWERING THE LANDING GEAR THE PILOT REPORTS HE GOT A "GEAR DOWN" INDICATION ON THE EFIS BUT DID NOT GET A DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION FOR THE MAIN GEAR BUT THE NOSE GEAR DID GET A DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. PILOT REPORTS HE CYCLED THE GEAR SEVERAL TIMES DURING TWO TRIPS AROUND THE PATTERN. PILOT CONTACTED TWO OF THE OTHERS IN HIS GROUP THAT WERE ON THE GROUND TO GET A VISUAL INDICATION OF LANDING GEAR DOWN WHICH HE OBTAINED VIA RADIO. THREE OBSERVERS ON THE GROUND CONFIRMED THE GEAR APPEARED TO BE FULLY DOWN. THE PILOT DID A GO AROUND AT THIS POINT AND LINED UP FOR LANDING ON A STABILIZED FINAL AT A REPORTED 86 KNOTS. UPON TOUCHDOWN THE MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED (RUNWAY 20) AND THE AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND PARTIALLY IN THE GRASS. NO EGRESS REQUIRED. NO FIRE OR INJURIES REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
