## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ALLEGIANT AIR FLIGHT NUMBER AAY1633 EXPERIENCED A BIRD STRIKE TO THE #2 ENGINE ON TAKEOFF OUT OF KCLE. FOLLOWING THE BIRD STRIKE, THE ENGINE EXPERIENCED A MOMENTARY HIGH VIBRATION TO 6.3 AND THEN STABILIZED. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO ITS DESTINATION AND LANDED AT KPGD WITHOUT INCIDENT.

ALLEGIANT MAINTENANCE FOUND EVIDENCE OF A BIRD STRIKE INTO THE #2 ENGINE. THE BIRD STRIKE RESULTED IN DAMAGE TO FIVE FIRST STAGE FAN BLADES #23 THRU #27.

THERE WAS ALSO EVIDENCE OF BIRD REMNANTS GOING DOWN THE CORE OF THE ENGINE, MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A BORESCOPE INSPECTION OF THE CORE ENGINE WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED.

FIRST STAGE FAN BLADES REPLACED AS REQUIRED FOR DAMAGE AND BALANCE.

A VIBRATION CHECK ON THE #2 ENGINE PERFORMED WITH NO FAULTS FOUND.

AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
