## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 9, 2018, THE ABOVE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED KRDU ON A PART 91 REPOSITION LEG TO KORF AT ABOUT 08:20 A.M. LOCAL TIME. AFTER TAKEOFF AND CLIMB TO LEVEL AT 15,000 FEET THE CREW EXPERIENCED A LOUD "BANG" AND ENCOUNTERED VIBRATIONS THROUGH THE AIRCRAFT. THE CREW RETURNED TO KRDU AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. UPON PARKING THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RAMP AND INSPECTING THE AIRCRAFT IT WAS NOTED THE LOWER RIGHT ENGINE COWLING HAD DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT AND THE UPPER COWLING WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED BUT STILL ATTACHED FEW A FEW FASTENERS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
