## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS 140 HOUR PRIVATE PILOT AND OWNER OF INCIDENT AIRCRAFT WAS RATED FOR VFR ONLY. WEATHER WAS 300 FEET OVERCAST, VISIBILITY 1.75 MILES, DEWPOINT SPREAD 07/07.

THE PILOT DID NOT FILE A FLIGHT PLAN AND DID NOT CHECK THE WEATHER PROPERLY.

THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN AT APPROXIMATELY 5000FEET FROM APPROACH THESHOLD. WET RUNWAY AND PILOT TRYING TO STOP AIRCRAFT CAUSED AIRCRAFT TO DEPART RUNWAY. DAMAGE AIRCRAFT DUE TO HITTING SIGNAGE, LIGHTS, AND DITCH.

2 PASSENGERS ONBOARD. NO INJURES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
