## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NOVEMBER 24, 2018. AIRCRAFT N838UP WAS DEPARTING RUNWAY 9R AT KOSU, (OHIO STATE AIRPORT) ABORTED THE T/O AND SLID OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY INTO THE MUD AND GRASS. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE PIC INDICATED DURING THE INTERVIEW, THAT THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT ROTATE ONCE V1 WAS ACHIEVED. HE ABORTED THE T/O, PUT THE POWER LEVERS INTO REVERSE AND APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE AIRCRAFT YAWED TO THE LEFT WHEN REVERSING POWER WAS APPLIED. HE ATTEMPTED TO MAINTAIN FORWARD CONTROL OF THE AC. THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE RUNWAY IN THE GRASSY AREA BEYOND THE RUNWAY. COMING TO A STOP APPROXIMATELY 248 FEET OFF OF THE RUNWAY SURFACE AND 448 FEET BEYOND THE REILS. THE CREW SHUT THE AC DOWN AND THE SIC EXITED THE AC TO ASSESS DAMAGES. EMERGENCY RESPONDERS WERE DISPATCHED. THE AC WAS REMOVED FROM THE MUDDY/GRASSY FIELD AND MOVED TO A HANGAR ON THE AIRPORT FOR DAMAGE ASSESSMENT AND REPAIRS BY THE CH AND TEXTRON.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
