## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT, THE PILOT HAD BEEN CONDUCTING A SHORT PERSONAL FLIGHT TO WARM UP THE ENGINE PRIOR TO HAVING AN ANNUAL INSPECTION PERFORMED ON THE AIRCRAFT. IN A PHONE CONVERSATION, THE PILOT STATED THAT THE WINDS WERE CALM AND VISIBILITY WAS APPROXIMATELY TEN MILES. THE APPROACH FOR LANDING WAS STABLE AND NOTHING SEEMED OUT OF THE ORDINARY. PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT FLOATED A LITTLE LONGER THAN USUAL AND HE ADDED SOME THROTTLE. THE PLANES MAIN WHEELS TOUCHED DOWN AND THE AIRCRAFT BALLOONED A FEW FEET INTO THE AIR. THE AIRCRAFT CAME BACK DOWN ON THE MAIN WHEELS AND THE NOSE WHEEL CAME DOWN ABRUPTLY. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED INTO THE AIR TWO MORE TIMES BEFORE THE NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRCRAFT UNINJURED.
