## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE CONDUCTING A TRAINING CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT IT WAS UNEVENTFUL. ON APPROACH TO MYF AIRCRAFT WAS CLEARED TO LAND. THE STUDENT WAS INSTRUCTED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. THE TOUCHDOWN WAS SMOOTH. WHEN THE NOSE LANDING GEAR TOUCHED THE GROUND THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED AND FOLLOWED BY A PROP STRIKE. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED 200-300 FEET BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED BY MAINTENANCE AND FOUND A NOSE GEAR ACTUATOR ROD END BROKE OFF.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
