## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED ON TAKEOFF ROLL, BEFORE LIFTOFF, EXPERIENCED LARGE VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END. IMMEDIATELY CUT THROTTLE AND APPLIED BRAKING. NOSE STRUT COLLAPSED, AIRCRAFT STOPPED. BOTH PROPS STRUCK THE GROUND. THE LOWER PORTION OF THE NOSE STRUT BROKE AWAY SEPARATING THE NOSE TIRE FROM THE STRUT. THE LOWER COUPLING WAS PREVIOUSLY CRACKED AND THE ADDED DYNAMIC OF BRAKING CAUSED REMAINING PORTION OF LOWER CUP TO FAIL BRAKING AWAY THE NOSE TIRE. M AND D TO BE SUBMITTED BY MECHANIC.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
