WHILE TURNING FROM CROSSWIND TO DOWNWIND, THE PILOT OBSERVED A GOOSE AHEAD AND ABOVE THE AIRPLANE.  THE GOOSE DIVED, STRIKING THE AIRPLANE'S LEFT WING APPROXIMATELY 3 FEET FROM THE WING TIP, JUST ABOVE AND BEHIND THE LEADING EDGE.  THE PILOT REPORTED NO COMPROMISED FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS AND LANDED THE AIRPLANE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
