## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 22, 2019 AT 1635LOC, N785AD, A DASSAULT FALCON MODEL 2000EX, S/N 146 ON A VISUAL APPROACH AT APPROXIMATELY 400 FEET AGL TO RUNWAY 18 AT DECATUR AIRPORT, ENCOUNTERED A SMALL FLOCK OF MALLARD DUCKS AT APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE NORTH OF THE RUNWAY THRESHOLD RESULTING IN A SINGLE BIRD STRIKE TO THE RIGHT WING DAMAGING THE RIGHT WING SLAT. N785AD LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
