## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT APPROXIMATELY 0930 ON MAY 21, 2019, N7500K DEPARTED MC KINLEY FIELD, JUST SOUTH OF PEARSALL TX, TO CONDUCT AERIAL APPLICATION OPERATIONS IN CORN FIELDS ABOUT 10 MILES EAST OF THE AIRPORT. AROUND 0945, ON THE EIGHT PASS OVER THE CORN FIELD, THE AIRCRAFT'S MAIN LANDING GEAR STRUCK A POWER LINE CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO LOSS CONTROL, CRASH INTO THE CORN FIELD AND BURNED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA19CA277](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA19CA277), May 21, 2019: Grumman G164 (N7500K), Pearsall, TX, destroyed. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain clearance from power lines during low-altitude maneuvering.

## Other reports on N7500K (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19870626027529A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19870626027529A), Jun 26, 1987: Scwzer G164B (N7500K), Cheneyville, LA, Substantial damage. The aircraft nosed over during landing in a cottonfield. The engine failed during aerial application maneuvers.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
