## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STARTED THE AIRCRAFT AFTER FUELING THE PLANE AT THE FUEL FARM. THE AIRCRAFT STARTED, MOVED FROM IT'S STATIC POSITION AND STRUCK THE FUEL FARM. THE AIRCRAFTS PROPELLER AND LANDING GEAR IMPACTED THE BOLLARD POSTS THAT SURROUND THE FUEL FARM, THE RIGHT WING IMPACTED THE FUEL TANK AND THE LEFT WING IMPACTED THE STAINLESS STEEL CABINET THAT HOUSES THE FUEL HOSES

DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIAL, IT INCLUDES MAJOR DAMAGE TO BOTH WINGS, A FLAP, BENT LANDING GEAR, DAMAGED ENGINE COWL, AND A DESTROYED PROPELLER.

DAMAGE TO THE FUEL FARM WAS A CHOPPED UP SIGN, CHOPPED UP BOLLARD POST COVERS, AND A SCRAPE ON A FUEL TANK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA19CA422](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA19CA422), May 31, 2019: Daryl Baker Bush Sport (N4625D), Willimantic, CT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during taxi operations, which resulted in a collision with a fuel pump enclosure.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
