## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE GULFSTREAM AIRCRAFT, N444SC, WAS BEING MARSHALED THROUGH A CONGESTED AIRCRAFT PARKING AREA ON THE SIGNATURE FLIGHT SUPPORT RAMP. THE R/H WINGTIP OF THIS AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE RUDDER OF A CESSNA CITATION 560, N579BJ, THAT WAS PARKED NEAR THE OUTER EDGE OF THE CONGESTED RAMP.

THE GROUND CREW CHECKED TO SEE IF ANYONE WAS ON BOARD THE CITATION. THERE WAS NOT ANYONE AROUND OR INSIDE THE AIRCRAFT.

THE RAMP SUPERVISOR, WHO WAS ONE MEMBER OF THE MARSHALING TEAM, NOTIFIED THE FACILITY MANAGER OF WHAT HAPPENED.

THE GULFSTREAM WAS CLEARED TO DEPART THE CONGESTED AREA, TAXIED TO THE RUNWAY AND DEPARTED FOR VAN NUYS, CA.

BY THE TIME THAT THE RAMP SUPERVISOR WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO THE CITATION AIRCRAFT, THE FLIGHT CREW HAD BOARDED FOUR PASSENGERS AND DEPARTED FOR SANTA BARBARA, CA.

## Other aircraft in the event

- N579BJ, Cessna 560: no report for this aircraft; [N579BJ](https://openairdocs.org/aircraft/N579BJ) is registered now

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
