DURING CRUISE FLIGHT MAIN CABIN DOOR OPENED.  PILOT INSTRUCTED AIRCRAFT OBSERVER REMAINED STRAPPED IN.  PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY AT RVL.
