## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 22 AT LEXINGTON AIRPORT IN DAYLIGHT VFR WITH LIGHT WINDS AND EXPERIENCED A TAIL STRIKE. CAPTAIN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS FLYING THE AIRCRAFT ON LANDING. BOTH THE FE AND FO ADVISED THE CA TO GO AROUND ON SHORT FINAL DUE TO A HIGH SINK RATE. THE CA CHOSE TO CONTINUE THE APPROACH AND LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIED TO THE GATE. FLIGHT OPERATIONS WAS NOTIFIED THAT A TAIL STRIKE HAD OCCURRED . UPON EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT MINOR DAMAGE WAS NOTED TO THE TAILSKID, LOWER EMPENNAGE AND VHF ANTENNA. SEVERAL AIRCRAFT PARTS WERE RECOVERED FROM THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
