## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 19, 2019, AT 0826 MST, A 1980 CESSNA TU206G, N6588X, REGISTERED TO EW HOLDINGS LLC, LOST CONTROL DURING TAKEOFF WHILE CONDUCTING A PERSONAL FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. THE PILOT AND TWO PASSENGERS WERE NOT INJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM REGINA, NM.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA19CA496](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA19CA496), Aug 19, 2019: Cessna TU206 (N6588X), Regina, NM, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper preflight performance planning for a high-density altitude takeoff from a short, dirt airstrip, which resulted in impact with terrain.

## Other reports on N6588X (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19870324028019I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19870324028019I), Mar 24, 1987: Cessna TU206G (N6588X), Boise, ID. Lost engine oil pressure en route. Safe landing made. Mechanical malfunction not defined.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
