## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2019, AT APPROXIMATELY 13:40 CDT, THE FLIGHT CREW OF SKYWEST FLIGHT 3608 SAT-MSP, A CRJ 900, RECEIVED A MASTER WARNING FOR AN AFT LAVATORY FIRE DURING CRUISE FLIGHT. THE CABIN CREW INITIALLY WERE UNABLE TO CONFIRM BUT SUBSEQUENTLY REPORTED VISIBLE HAZE AND A STRONG ACRID SMELL IN THE CABIN. THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY, DIVERTED TO MCI WHERE AFTER LANDING AN EVACUATION USING THE MAIN CABIN DOOR AND OVER WING EXITS WAS CONDUCTED.

THERE WERE NO PASSENGER OR CREW INJURIES REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
