## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT FORGOT TO SWITCH FUEL TANKS FOR MAIN TO AUX. THE MAIN TANKS WERE DRY AND IT CAUSED THE RIGHT ENGINE TO QUIT ON FINAL APPROACH. THE PILOT WAS TOO WORRIED ABOUT RESTARTING THE ENGINE AND FORGOT TO FLY THE AIRPLANE RESULTING IN A LANDING OFF THE RUNWAY RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA19CA536](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA19CA536), Sep 5, 2019: Cessna 310 (N7673Q), Tahlequah, OK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The total loss of right engine power due to fuel starvation and the pilot's improper fuel management.

## Other reports on N7673Q (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19820828051269I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19820828051269I), Aug 28, 1982: Cessna 310Q (N7673Q), Grand Island, NE, Minor damage. On test hop, nose gear would not extend, landed on mains. Mechanic forgot to reconnect doors on annual inspection.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
