## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT BEGAN A WHEEL LANDING, TOUCHED DOWN AND ON ROLL OUT PRESSED ON THE BRAKES TO SLOW HIS SPEED. PILOT APPLIED TOO MUCH BRAKING ACTION AND THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER AND CAME TO REST ON IT BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA19CA526](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA19CA526), Sep 5, 2019: Pietenpol Pietenpol Aircamper (N14961), Glendo, WY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's overapplication of brakes during the landing roll, which resulted in a noseover.

## Other reports on N14961 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19910727030199A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19910727030199A), Jul 27, 1991: Amtrpl AIRCAMPER (N14961), Brodhead, WI, Substantial damage. Engine lost power on takeoff. Circled to land but stalled short of runway. Erroded and burned valve. Oil on igniter.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
