## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE SPRAYING A FIELD, THE PIC WAS COMING TO THE END OF A PASS. AS HE WENT TO CLIMB TO CLEAR A ROW OF PINE TREES, THE ROTORCRAFT ENGINE LOST POWER. THE SHIP STARTED TO SPIN ON THE YAW AXIS. THE TAIL BOOM STRUCK A TREE WHICH CAUSED THE FUSELAGE SKIDS TO STRIKE A NEARBY PICK UP TRUCK AND HORSE TRAILER. THE TAIL BOOM SEPARATED FROM THE ROTORCRAFT AND THE SHIP CAME TO REST ON ITS RIGHT SIDE. THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED, SHUT OF THE ENGINE AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WAS NO POST CRASH FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN19LA309](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN19LA309), Sep 9, 2019: Bell 206 (N19TV), Walkerton, IN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The partial loss of engine power due to fuel contamination.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
