## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2019 AT APPROXIMATELY 21:40 UTC N8143P, A PIPER PA-24, EXITED RUNWAY 24 (NORTHWEST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY) ONTO THE GRASS AT NANTUCKET MEMORIAL AIRPORT (ACK) BETWEEN TAXIWAY B AND C. THE AIRCRAFT?S PROPELLER STRUCK ONE OF THE RUNWAY LIGHTS CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ABLE TO TAXI TO THE GA RAMP UNDER ITS OWN POWER WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

THE AUTOMATED WEATHER OBSERVATION AT ACK REPORTED THAT, ABOUT 13 MINUTES AFTER THE INCIDENT, THE WIND WAS FROM 260° AT 9 KNOTS, VISIBILITY OF 10 STATUTE MILES, SKY CLEAR, TEMPERATURE 18°C, DEW POINT 14°C, AND THE ALTIMETER SETTING OF 30.11 INCHES OF MERCURY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
