## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING THE APPROACH TO THE NORTH RUNWAY, THE AIRPLANE MADE AN ABRUPT LEFT TURN AND NOSE DOWN MOVEMENT. WHEN THE PIC ATTEMPTED TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRPLANE, THE CENTER STICK DID NOT MOVE. HE FINALLY REGAINED CONTROL AT ABOUT 200 FEET BEFORE THE AIRPLANE MADE CONTACT WITH THE GROUND. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST UNDER A SET OF POWER LINES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA19TA277](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA19TA277), Sep 23, 2019: Vans RV 6 (N12033), Lakeland, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s inability to maintain control due to passenger interference.

## Other reports on N12033 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19961114035759A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19961114035759A), Nov 14, 1996: Amtr RV6 (N12033), Cottonwood, AZ, Substantial damage. Lost power in pattern. Impact short of runway. No anomalies. Serious carb ice conditions.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
